Scratch workshop in Polish partner school before school closures caused by coronavirus

Scratch lets you create your own interactive stories, animations, games and music and learn English. Thanks to the use of the Scratch programming and learning English becomes great fun even for students of primary school. When children code in Scratch, they not only have fun, but also learn to look for ways to solve problems. This program is great for learning English. The main goal of the Scratch workshop is learning by doing. Students can learn how to work in an innovative way. During the classes our students played an active role, discussed and asked each other. They became teachers for other students. There was time for fun and work. Students could create something new. Students became teachers before schools closed due to the current coronavirus situation.

This workshop was prepared by the 6th grade students for the 5th –graders of Primary School No 1 in Olsztyn, under the guidance of their English teacher Monika Brodowicz.
